LowranceNET NMEA 2000
Marine Networking

The Ultimate Electronics Multi-tasker!!

NMEA 2000, The new age of instrument connectivity is here, and Lowrance are among the first of the mainstream manufacturers to embrace it.

Now standard on all the Lowrance range (except the basic of point-and-shoot fishfinders and GPS), any external active sensors producing NMEA 2000 data can be plugged into the "Network Buss" via a T-connector. Any Lowrance display on that Network Buss can then display the data on-screen.

Plug-and-play connectivity. Simple. Clever. To read more about NMEA 2000 and LowranceNET, click on the image above, or Click Here

Lowrance are already on their second generation of connectors. The blue connectors pictured above have now been replaced by a newer red version. The main reason for the update is that the red connectors are directly compatible with the officially recognised MicroC plugs of NMEA 2000.

DO NOT WORRY if you have a blue-connector Lowrance unit. The system is NOT out-of-date, and there are Blue-to-Red adaptor cables available.
