Dec 2007: Farewell to Jim Callaghan
"Who?" you may ask. Well, behind every JK Max, there is a supplier, and behind the supplier is a "Mr Logistics" figure. The JK Max supplier in this case is Silva, and Jim Callaghan was their Mr Logistics. A truly awesome guy with a superb work ethic. Jim ALWAYS went the extra mile.
He performed this same role within Simpson-Lawrence, and Sowester Simpson-Lawrence, Europe's leading marine distributors in the late 90's. Jim is one of the many unseen, unsung heroes of the marine industry.
We were devastated to hear of his sudden passing this month, having suffered a heart-attack at home. A true friend, and sadly missed by the team here. Worthy of far more than a mention on this website. Marion, our thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Dec 2007: Row Commando

Nov 2007: JK Max Sponsors a New Trampoline
Torbay Olympic Gymnastics Club were overwhelmed with the generous donation of a brand new trampoline for their new premises at Barton Hill Way, Torquay, from JK Max. The EuroTramp GrandMaster 6, with surrounding safety mats, end-decks, overhead rigs and push-in mats cost well over £5,000.00. The donation was made in conjunction with the Government's SportsMatch Fund.
Steve and Nikki at JK Max are ex-competitive gymnasts. Nikki still coaches gymnastics at T.O.G.C. and Steve is a qualified BG Trampoline Coach.
Money is so tight at the club, with the refurbishment of the new location, there was no way they could have hoped to raise enough funds for a new trampoline like this for at least a couple of years. T.O.G.C now has an incredible opportunity to boost it's trampolining squads, thanks to JK Max!
