Registering Your EPIRB or PLB
It is imperative that you register your EPIRB or PLB as soon as you purchase it. Registration gets you on file with HM Coastguard. If, heaven forbid, you need to use your beacon in a real-life distress situation, the more information the Coastguard has on the owners of the beacon thats displaying on their computer screen; the sooner they can investigate with your friends, relatives, points of contact; the sooner you can be rescued !!

Registering your beacon takes just a few minutes. A registration form will be in the box with your EPIRB or PLB. Simply fill it in, and remember to add any points-of-contact; telephone numbers that will be of use to the Coastguard if they need to confirm whether you are at sea or if it's a false alarm.
