JK Max
Install Davis Vantage Pro

The impressive view of the new boathouse.
October 2006 saw JK Max install its first Davis Weather System for the RNLI. The fantastic, new, state of the art, boathouse on Trevose Head, Padstow, became operational in August, and is home to the Tamar class lifeboat, “Spirit of Padstow”. Coxswain, Alan Tarby, requested the addition of the Vantage Pro2 to aid the station with its record keeping.

The installation itself involved mounting the integrated sensor suite on a sub-station antenna at the top of the cliff and setting up 2 wireless consoles in the station below.
Steve was joined by McMurdo’s UK Area Sales Manager and Davis specialist, Steve Rogers.

Vantage Pro2 weather stations are available in both wireless and cabled versions. All include a console and an innovative integrated sensor suite, which combines a rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, and anemometer all into one package – making set up easier than ever and improving performance and reliability. The station can be customised by adding additional consoles.

The team at Padstow are now enjoying the new Davis system. “The weather Station is great” says Alan. “We were really impressed with the service and installation provided by JK Max.”
